The Cerro Blanco is considered the highest dune in the world having a height of 2078 meters and is located in the valley of Nasca. Being also a favorite place for adventure sports enthusiasts to practice sandboarding perfect full of adventure and a true adrenaline. From the top you can see a real natural landscape surrounded by dune shapes.
Tour description
This tour is to hike to the highest dune in the world (2078 meters) and slide in sand.
We left very early Nasca (500msnm) at 5.00 am. Approx. We took a private car in the direction of the route to Cusco to reach the point where we start 22 km hike along the top of the dune (1300msnm). On the way the way we will observe the beautiful scenery of the area and the sunrise. We need to walk about 3 hours without sand mountain road can make all the stops you want to take pictures or to relax while the guide will explain all about the flora and fauna that exists in the place. Already after 02 hours of walking we reach the maximum height see white hill where we first started walking in sand for about an hour.
After reaching the top (2078msnm) take a break watching the entire valley from this dune.
After listening to the safety instructions of our guide will practice for five small cuts down the first 18 meters, the second 22 meters, 30 meters the third, fourth and fifth 45 meters 55 meters.
Practiced enough already started down the last slope that is approximately one kilometer long nonstop. This dune is not dangerous if you love speed and adrenaline you can put a little wax to the table in order to gain speed.
Upon completion of the entire dune walk down about 20 minutes where a car will be waiting and so return to the city. End of service and return to our hotel.
