Arequipa is a beautiful city in southern Peru and is located at 2300 meters above sea level. The city was founded by the Spanish as the capital of the region on the slopes of the volcano Misti on August 15, 1540 by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro. Arequipa is known as the White City because most of its architecture is made based on sillar (white volcanic stone). Arequipa is a province rich in culture and geography. In this city you can see beautiful colonial buildings (Monasterio de Santa Catalina, Cathedral and historic center) and natural landscapes as it is surrounded by large volcanoes (Misti 5822 meters, 6075 meters Chachani) and deep canyons (Colca Canyon and Canyon Cotahuasi). All these beautiful settings allows us to make a type of cultural tourism and adventure, which will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience for visitors.
